The physical address is 8401 Datapoint in Suite 800 which is most of the 8th floor. The office is in the western-most of two, identical 10 story buildings that used to be the Datapoint Towers. Texas Public Radio is in the first block off of Fredericksburg Road if you are coming from that direction. Or if you are coming from IH10, exit Wurzbach to the west, then turn left (south) on Datapoint. It's a funny little "L" shaped street that requires a sharp right hand turn a block or two down the road. The phone number is 614-8977 in case anyone gets lost or needs assistance getting into the building.

AccessAbility Fest Mixer

We're getting together after work to do a little planning. Even if you can't serve full-time on a task force this year, we'd love to see you at this mixer.

Wednesday, June 24th
6:00pm
Blue Star Brewing Company
1414 S. Alamo, Suite 105
San Antonio, Texas

RSVP Here

The PR, Volunteer Recruitment, Fun Zone, Entertainment Zone and Information Zone task force teams will be meeting this evening.

If you have any thoughts on the following topics, we' could use your ideas. Working together in a collaborative community partnership, we can make AccessAbility Fest even more successful this year.

Please attend or email (mcawthon@disABILITYsa.org) with your ideas on
1) Exhibitors you'd like to see at AccessAbility Fest this year
2) Fun Activities you've seen at other events that would make great additions to the Fun Zone (please bring organization/contact information)
3) Entertainment ideas that include individuals who have disabilities who have overcome their disability to be a performer in the arts.
4) Educational ideas of sessions we can do to educate families about systems and funding for individuals with disabilities. (ie. life coach, applying for SS benefits, getting on the disability service funding waiting list, etc.)
5) Small and large corporations or foundations you think would be interested in getting behind a large community collaborative event benefiting people with disabilities. Our sponsorship levels this year are $5,000, $2,500, $1,000 and $500.
6) Places we can promote the event with fliers and contact with the media who will help us get the word out.

Please bring organization names, contacts, phone number and emails with you!

Hope to see you there. Remember, you don't have to officially sign up for a task force team to participate in this planning mixer. Just come and share information and ideas with us!
